And so it begins!

I walked into my new classroom this morning along with my two kiddos and a bag of goodies to keep them entertained and feed. I am very bummed because I am going from a very BIG room to a much smaller one. I'm lucky that I found out about the room change at the end of the year, so I was able to move all my stuff before we left. However, it was really hard trying to fit 12 years of stuff into one tiny closet-I ended up bringing alot of stuff home. Well, this morning as I hunted down a janitor to open up my room (no keys will be issued out till the first offical week)I kept thinking that I had no clue how I was going to organize furniture, etc. I stood in the middle of the room for a good ten minutes just staring at the walls. I snapped some pictures of how the room looked like when I first walked in.
Finally I decided to move my desk. I had to call the janitors to help because if they hear you dragging the furniture, they all come running down the hall in a panic. My original plan was to place my teacher center in the back of the room in a corner, but in the right corner is the window, which you can not block due to it being a fire hazard. On the left is a super old television set, we've been told not to place anything directly underneath for fear that it may fall on a child. So now it's between the TV and the window. Not super happy about that, but I'll wait and see. I've posted some pictures of how I left it this afternoon. It looks really messy and unorganized, but I'll keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for taking the time to visit!
